ECO-FRIENDLY PAINT TOOLS: PART OF OUR ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY PLAN

Eco-Friendly Paint tools and equipment is what we will be highlighting for you today. It may not seem like a big deal upon first glance, but ensuring that you have eco-friendly paint tools and equipment is essential for sustainability and sustainable work practices.
When management at Staunch Greco Industries set up the business, we put together a plan of what eco-friendly paint tools would be a staple on every residential and commercial job. Every staff member is inducted on the eco-friendly paint tools and materials that we use and why we use them.
DROP SHEETS:
Biodegradable Drop Sheets:
Waterproof anti slip sheets that protects flooring and ground from paint, dust, dirt and water.
The drop sheets we use are deemed OXO-Biodegradable. This particular type of plastic actually breaks down the plastic polymer and physically changes it into small-chain organic chemicals and waxes that are no longer plastics and can be bio-assimilated (eaten by bacteria).
Fabric Drop Sheets:
We also favour fabric drop sheets that can be re-used many times over. We use fabric sheets that are heavy duty and highly durable. Great for protecting floors and furnishings. Fabric drop sheets we use are made from over 50% Recycled cotton.
PAINT BRUSHES:
We love using Uni Pro brushes for walls and timber work. These brushes come with bamboo handles. They contain a synthetic filament which allows for maximum paint product pick up and smooth release onto the surfaces that we are painting. They are handcrafted using 100% recycled steel and cardboard.
PAINT TRAYS:
We use solvent resistant paint trays that can be used with any type of paint. We carry a range of sizes. They are made from 100% recycled plastic.
GREEN WASTE COLLECTOR:
We will often need to gather organic waste whilst doing any preparation for your project. For example, leaves and twigs on your roof top and in your gutters before we commence painting the space. We will take the time to collect organic elements during a clean up/preparation in a eco-friendly bag that we recycle and use on every relevant project. The bags we use are made from recycled material.
