PAINTING KINGSVILLE: A STAUNCH HERITAGE PAINTING RENOVATION!
You may have not heard of Kingsville. Many haven’t. It’s a suburb nestled in between Yarraville and Seddon in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
That’s one of the many great things about Melbourne. We have several very small suburbs that boast a great deal of charm and character. Hence, we were delighted to receive a call from a potential client who lives in Kingsville requesting a quote for exterior painting. We had never worked in Kingsville before! A painting Kingsville project sounded pretty good!!
Upon our first visit to the property, we were impressed with the client’s heritage home and beautiful back garden. We knew our talented staunch painting team could bring the fresh striking upgraded look that our client wanted. Painting Kinsgville project, here we come!
Below is an image of what the Kingsville property looked like before we set to work on it. Our client wanted to bring it back to life by incorporating a new and exciting colour pallet.
We provided our client with our colour and style consultation, and through the many discussions and workshops, the following colours were chosen :
- Dulux Limed Washed Half for the external weatherboard walls
- Dulux Lexicon Quarter for window frames, door frames and posts.
- Haymes Stormy Blue for fascias, gutters, doors, fences and downpipes.
What a terrific colour scheme. Colours that keep in line with the homes heritage architecture and theme, whilst still providing a significantly different look.
The crew began by giving the home a good deep pressure clean in preparation for the painting.
Then the undercoating began. What a difference to the front façade already ! Exterior painting is quite a precise and highly skilled process. We do not cut corners whatsoever. We go through a process that includes sanding and repair, undercoat and two top coats.

The boys worked hard over several weeks to deliver the promised transformation. Below is the final result of the front façade. Wow!
The house featured a nude bronze statue that was in need of a fresh coat of special Bronze paint. Check out before and after results below
The render walls look sensational after the team updated them with the Dulux Lime Washed Half.
The back walls, doors, and studio space look absolutely superb! The new works in combination with the style of the home and backyard gives the home a distinct English country side cottage home! An English regional country home in Kingsville, Melbourne !
