Today we will examine a range of different shades of grey paint that could provide you with inspiration:
Steel Wool:
A mid way dark Grey hue, Steel Wool has a beautiful versatility to it. Its capacity for substance brings depth to a bright room and can bring a sense of intriguing drama to a dark space. Steel wool has slight undertones of blue and purple, and works beautifully with shades of white paint.
Kendell Charcoal:
A warm shade of grey that works brilliantly on residential or commercial walls throughout the space, or as feature/accent walls. It has a luxurious and deep vibe to it, working well with beiges, creams, whites and taupes. Furniture and furnishings in light shades contrast really well with kendall charcoal. It has a very slight undertone of green to it.
Stormy Monday:
A simple yet effective shade of grey, Stormy Monday leans towards the light side of the spectrum. It has a lovely undercurrent of violet running through it, and is capable of evoking a variety of mood and atmosphere. It works very well with off whites, creams, stone, and light to mid shades of brown. It can be cooling or warming depending on context. Highly recommended in rooms and spaces where people spend a great amount of time.
Owl Grey:
Owl grey is a brilliant option if you are looking for or are open to grey but also wanting significant brightness to come with it. It can provide you both a cooling to neutral effect depending on context. It has a very soft blue and green undertone to it, and generally provides a fresh and modern look and feel. It works especially well in a home that is coastal or among forestry type areas.
Stonington Grey:
A beautiful mid tone grey with coolish blue undertones, Stonington Grey perpetuates a gentle and refined vibe. It belongs on the cooler side of the grey paint spectrum. It is not especially bright but is light enough and contrasts well especially with white, stone, beige and black. It also looks great in kitchens and on cabinetry, bringing a pleasant overall vibe to the space.
