Painting Yarraville New Build: A Unique Architectural Project!
The Staunch Greco team has been receiving a lot of interest from clients wanting painting done on their homes in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Its truly amazing to see how the Western suburbs have developed and evolved physically, socially and culturally over the past 20 to 30 years.
The Western suburbs of Melbourne have so much to offer, and its only been in recent times that many pockets have become gentrified, with many new residential and commercial builds going up. As is the way of Melbourne’s history, many of the suburbs that are now considered to be gems weren’t considered so many decades ago. Yarraville is one of these suburbs. It certainly is a suburb full of character! Its history and modernism is on consistent display and is a feast for the eyes and senses! Therefore, painting Yarraville homes is always going to something our team will enjoy.
One of the builders we work closely with brought a painting Yarraville opportunity our way and as we explored the details, we were impressed with this completely new build, and how the client and architect had designed the layout and physique of the home. A truly unique architectural project. Upon accepting the painting Yarraville new build project, we worked closely and successfully with the builder to take on the project in two stages.
Exterior:
A unique feature of this exterior project was the timber battens that were to be installed all around the top level balcony rear, front and side balconies surrounding the home. A large amount of timber battens were delivered to site. The Staunch team proceeded to undercoat, and apply two classical white top coats to them in order for them to be installed. See images below of the team working on the timber battens and the installation of the timber battens.
Exterior works on this painting Yarraville project also included the painting of awnings:
Exterior timber battens were also stained on the ground level with the by Osmo product of a number of decks around the property.
See below the beautiful results in combination. Beautiful white timber battens installed with beautifully stained decks
Interior:
The client and architect chose a range of beautiful contrasting colours for the interior rooms and corridors of the project:
Dulux Hog Bristle Quarter for general walls and ceilings and some doors and Dulux black for cabinetry/joinery.
Murobond Indigo for specific walls in rooms
Dulux Blue accolade for specific rooms
Murobond Deep Sea Dreaming for specific rooms
Dulux Water Race Way for specific doors
We also stained the interior staircase and painted the base of the staircase ! A very tricky process, but if anyone can do it, we can!
Both the end user and architect were impressed by both our high quality work and commitment to our craft. Representing our staunch ethos!
